Social Media - The new weapon in the PR armour


Public relations is one of the most important aspects of branding. It is the perfect tool to create awareness about the brand. With the advent of internet the process of passing information has become a much easier task. Faxes have been replaced with emails. Gone are the days of TV, radios and magazines. Now there is internet's  most interactive platform, social media to connect with people. 



Facebook, twitter, youtube and Linkedin have become the new hub for brand promotion. Its where  everyone is at and therefore the perfect space to talk about the brand. PR industry has been benefited heavily due to their ability to tap the branding potential of social media sites. Brands are investing time and money on creating strategies to achieve optimum engagement on social media sites.






There was a time when the news just went to the public without creating an impact.  Social media breaks this barrier with the two way communication process that exists between the brand and the consumer. When you reach out to the customers and address their concern and value their feedback, they will feel drawn towards the brand. If you are given so much importance you will shed your inhibitions and develop a certain level of trust in the brand which in turn increases the potential of brand loyalty.
